Know your serials

An accurate asset register is the difference between a one-hour and a one-week recall.

Name an owner

Every notice needs one person accountable for triage, action and close-out.

Keep the evidence

File what you did and when, so the next audit is a formality.

Set up monitoring

Subscribe to manufacturer notifications and regulator databases, or work with a supplier who monitors them for you and matches notices to your serials.

Communicate clearly

Tell clinical teams what is affected, what to do now and when the fix will arrive. Clear, short messages prevent devices being taken out of service unnecessarily.

Close the loop

Record the corrective action, the date and who completed it. Report back to your quality committee so the process improves each time.

Turn this into a plan.
