How service works
What a biomed service plan should include.
A practical guide to planned maintenance, breakdown response and loaners for hospitals, labs and clinics.
An accurate asset register
Service starts with knowing what you have. An asset register lists every device by serial, location, model, firmware and service history, and flags anything past its end-of-support date.
We build or audit your register at the start of every plan and keep it current as devices are added, moved, repaired or retired.
Planned maintenance to manufacturer schedules
Manufacturers specify inspection and calibration intervals for a reason. Missing them risks patient safety, warranty claims and audit findings.
We schedule planned maintenance around your clinical calendar, complete it on site where possible and attach every test record to the device in your portal.
Breakdown response by criticality
Not every device is equally urgent. A failed ventilator and a failed exam light need different responses, and your plan should say so.
Our service levels are tiered: four hours for critical and life-support devices, 24 hours for devices that stop a service line, and five days for routine equipment.
Loaners and hub stock
The fastest repair is a swap. Holding loaners and critical spares close to your sites keeps care running while the original device is repaired.
Each Verity hub holds loaner stock for critical lines such as infusion pumps, monitors and defibrillators, so a replacement can be on site the same day.
Recalls and field safety notices
When a manufacturer issues a recall, the first question is which of your devices are affected. Without serial-level records, that can take weeks.
We match notices to the serials we supplied or service, tell your quality and biomed leads within 24 hours and log every corrective action for your next audit.
